1. Who we are
KnowEase.AI is an interview preparation platform built for software engineers. We are based in India. You can reach us at hello@knowease.ai.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email address and password (hashed) when you sign up.
- Usage data: learning check attempts, scores, roadmap progress, practice question answers.
- Preferences: experience level, weekly study hours, and role goals you set during onboarding.
- Payment data: billing is handled by Razorpay/Stripe. We store only subscription status — no card numbers.
- Technical data: basic server logs (IP, browser type) for security and debugging.
3. How we use your data
- To provide the service — score your checks, generate roadmaps, track progress.
- To send transactional emails (score reports, weak-area tips). You can unsubscribe any time.
- To improve the platform — aggregate, anonymised analytics only.
- To prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in AWS ap-south-1).
- Razorpay / Stripe — payment processing.
- Anthropic / OpenAI — AI-generated narrative feedback only (no PII sent).
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
5. Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., payment records for 7 years under Indian GST rules).
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, or request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@knowease.ai. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies — the Supabase auth token required to keep you signed in. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
We will email registered users if we make material changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
